Trump orders reinforcement of control of foreigners after attack in NYC
Police investigators inspect a truck after an incident in which a man hit a pedestrian with a rental vehicle and left at least eight people dead and several injured in New York on October 31, 2017.
US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he ordered a reinforcement of the control program for foreigners seeking to enter the United States, hours after the first deadly attack in New York City after the 2001 attacks.
“I just ordered the (Department) of Internal Security to reinforce our program of revision already extreme,” the president tweeted. According to US media, the attacker is a Uzbek citizen who has lived in the United States since 2010.
