Xi confirmed as leader of the Chinese Communist Party for a second term, says Xinhua

President Xi Jinping was unsurprised Wednesday for confirmation of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) as its leader for a second five-year term, Xinhua news agency reported.

The party elected him as secretary general in a vote that also confirmed Prime Minister Li Keqiang, head of the central committee which has five other members.
