The terrorist attack on Burkina Faso on Sunday killed at least 18 people, including seven Burkinabè and eight foreigners, AFP Foreign Minister Alpha Barry told AFP in Ouagadougou on Monday.
“In addition to the seven Burkinabe, there are a French, a Canadian, a Senegalese, a Nigerian, a Lebanese, a Turk and two Kuwaitis,” said Barry, who also said “three unidentified victims”. The attack, led by suspected jihadists, targeted a coffee shop in downtown Burkina Faso’s Ouagadougou capital.
